WRI is proud to announce a new partnership with Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The World Resources Institute Partners with Glenfiddich For Rare Whisky Auction

On Tuesday December 11, 2012, WRI will auction the Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve 55 Year Old, the last remaining bottle available for auction globally, at an exclusive event in Los Angeles, California. All proceeds will benefit WRI.

To celebrate Glenfiddich’s 125th anniversary year, the company has conducted rare whisky auctions around the globe. To end this landmark year, WRI will join Glenfiddich by hosting an unprecedented charitable auction. Only 11 bottles of this limited edition expression were released and fetched as high as $94,000 at auction.

Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve, is a fifty-five year old whisky created to honor Janet Sheed Roberts, the granddaughter of William Grant, who founded the Glenfiddich distillery in Scotland. For five generations, Glenfiddich has been committed to innovating and pioneering in the industry – they built their distillery by hand, established the Single Malt category and have developed innovative casking techniques that now serve as the industry standard. Today, Glenfiddich is one of the only Scotch Whisky brands to remain in the hands of the family who founded it.

Like WRI, Glenfiddich is a champion of sustainable business and environmental practices and we share in fully supporting that mission.

Auction to Benefit WRI
