Gabrielle Swaby is the Manager for Diplomacy and Partnerships for Allied for Climate Transformation by 2025 (ACT2025) in the Global Climate Program. ACT2025 is a consortium of Global South thought leaders that aims to elevate the voices and priorities of climate-vulnerable countries at UN climate negotiations. Gabrielle specializes in international climate policy and politics, climate diplomacy and sustainable development with over 10 years of experience in policy-action research, stakeholder engagement and programme management.

Prior to joining WRI, Gabrielle worked for management consulting firm ICF, managing various projects for climate action and international development. Before that, she worked as a researcher for the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) advising Least Developed Countries in climate negotiations and diplomacy across the UNFCCC and other multilateral fora. She has also worked with the Climate Briefing Service / International Climate Politics Hub (through the European Climate Foundation and WRI) as well as UN agencies in Geneva and Jamaica on climate and nature conservation issues.

Gabrielle is originally from Jamaica, and has an MSc in Environmental Policy (University of Oxford) as well as a BSc in Environmental Studies and a BA in French (University of Central Florida).

Gabrielle enjoys being outdoors and trying new plant-based recipes.
