Heather Sullivan is responsible for managing The Sustainer’s Circle, a mid-level donor membership program at World Resources Institute. Heather joined WRI in 2011 and began working on the Development team as a Gift Administrator, processing revenue and building fundraising reports. She now builds relationships and absolutely loves connecting individuals to WRI in meaningful ways. She welcomes donors to join The Sustainer’s Circle (giving between $1,000 and $10,000) and invites them to learn more about WRI’s mission through informative briefings and special events.

Prior to joining WRI, Heather worked for The National Gallery of Art for 4 years, where she managed a donor database, handled all major and planned gift entry, and developed a great appreciation for modern art. She has also worked for The Chesapeake Bay Foundation – providing fundraising support to “Save the Bay” and helping restore the coastal communities where she grew up.

She received her B.A. in Political Science from Villanova University with a minor in Peace and Justice Studies. She has also studied studio art through the Smithsonian Associates program and The Art League School in Old Town, Alexandria.

Heather enjoys traveling, kayaking, artistic pursuits, and hearing from WRI donors.
