Mansie Hough is the Communications Manager for WRI's US Energy work. In this role, she oversees communications and editorial strategy, acts as a media contact and liaison, and authors content to help explain WRI's work on city renewables procurement, electric vehicles, federal energy policy and more in the US.

Before joining the US Energy Team, Mansie was the Media Manager in the Core Communications department, where she worked to develop and refine WRI's messaging across all its programs, platforms and geographies. In doing so, Mansie maintained relationships with hundreds of members of the media, pitched WRI's research to news outlets, and evaluated the organization's reach and impact on its most pressing issues.

Prior to joining WRI, Mansie worked on public health communications in Edelman's DC office. Mansie holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications with a minor in Creative Writing from Washington and Lee University. At W&L, Mansie also played varsity volleyball and studied abroad in Dingle, Ireland.

Mansie lives in DC with her partner and their cats Buffy and Nutmeg. In her free time Mansie enjoys playing volleyball, doing gymnastics, traveling and spending time outdoors.
