Shofia is a One Map and Commodities Research Analyst at WRI Indonesia. She is responsible for leading research and analysis under One Map Initiative, particularly on sustainable commodities issue at national and sub-national level.

Previously, Shofia worked as a researcher on the environmental aspect of commodities, such as oil palm, nutmeg and seaweed. During her time at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) of Indonesia, she assisted the making of a feasibility study on seaweed-based biogas power plant development in Indonesia. She also has expertise in carbon stock valuation and worked as a consultant for Regional Development Planning Agency of Riau Province to conduct carbon stock assessment in Giam Siak Kecil-Bukit Batu Biosphere Reserve.

She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Institut Teknologi Bandung and received a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the same university. As a biologist, Shofia loves traveling and hiking. She also aspires to explore all national parks around the world.
